We all look forward to ‘a good summer’, even though we’re quite often disappointed! But the very high temperatures we are currently experiencing can present a risk to health, and older people can be particularly susceptible to heat-related illness. It’s important not to get caught out during this unseasonably warm weather and that's why Age Uk has produced a valuable guide to staying cool. Click here to open the short booklet, called Staying Cool in a Heatwave, which contains tips that everyone could find useful, not just older people.
Falls strategy consultation

Older people are at the greatest risk of falling and of suffering a permanent injury as a result of a fall which can greatly affect their lives.
