BBC Lifeline
The BBC's Lifeline appeal programme this weekend focussed on Parkinson's UK's campaign for Parkinson's Nurses. The documentary featured our very own Parkinson's Nurse, Pete Smith as he visits a local patient and is presented by Graham Norton. If you missed the programme, you can catch up and view it on the BBC iPlayer.

MKCHS - Proud to be part of CNWL
Milton Keynes Community Health Services is proud to announce that as of 1 April 2013 all its services in Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire formally became part of Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL).
CNWL provides a range of similar NHS services across London and the South East, as well as some national community and mental health services.
Claire Murdoch, Chief Executive of CNWL said: “I am delighted that CNWL is now responsible for Milton Keynes Community Health Services and have extended a warm welcome to all of their staff. I am excited about our future, working together with local partners to continue providing high quality healthcare in Milton Keynes.”
The transfer will have no impact on the range of services provided in Milton Keynes or the location of our clinics. People receiving care will continue to be offered the same services, by the same doctors, nurses and other clinical staff. “

Quality Accounts
The Milton Keynes Community Health Services Quality Accounts for 2011 to 2012 are now available to read on our website. Click here to open the document.
Quality Accounts are annual reports to the public from providers of NHS healthcare about the quality of services they deliver. The primary purpose of Quality Accounts is to encourage boards and leaders of healthcare organisations to assess quality across all of the healthcare services they offer. It allows leaders, clinicians, governors and staff to demonstrate their commitment to continuous, evidence-based quality improvement, and
to explain their progress to the public.
MKCHS is proud that it has received very favourable comments regardings our Quality Accounts from our partners, including the local authority, our commissioners and the local involvement network, LINk MK.
